Vamos a Bogota

So we arrived in Bogota late Thursday evening. After a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner of hamburgers, we talked to the kids and fell into bed.  We woke early on Friday. Mark had to leave for the airport at 7 a.m. to catch his flight back to the U.S.

Jhon giving Dad a goodbye hug (monkey style)

Jhon and I left the hotel by 9 with our rep to apply for his passport. It should be ready Monday morning!  Other than that, Friday was nice and low-key.  Jhon enjoyed playing with the other kids, in the playroom and in the small outdoor play area. The kids even did some arts and crafts. Finger paints are awesome.

Apparently all this fun tired him out!  He woke up around 6:20, which is pretty typical. What was NOT typical was him cuddling in bed with me and falling back asleep until about 8 am.  What a sweetie.

So far Saturday has been pretty low key as well, but enjoyable. Tomorrow we plan to head to the market, which should be lots of fun. Monday we will hopefully pick up Jhon's passport and go to the embassy for his medical appointment.
