My kids have played the Money Game every day since Sunday WITHOUT my prompting. And Hana has made huge progress in just days. Before, she could not - for the life of her- figure out how to count 5-10-15-16-17, etc. Once she was on a "skip count" pattern, she was gone.
But now, she counts out her money just fine! dime (10) + nickel (5) + penny (1) = 16. She gets it correct about 80% of the time now. Much better than 0%. Wahooo!
Why on earth didn't I think of this stuff before???
